The agreement between us.

By creating an account or using PengiDream, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

You must be at least [13] years old to use PengiDream. If you are between [13] and the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed these terms with you. We may require additional verification for users under [16] depending on local law.

• You are responsible for keeping your password and OAuth credentials confidential.
• You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
• Display names must follow the format rules shown in the app (letters, numbers, periods, underscores, and spaces; 3–30 characters).
• One person, one account. Do not share an account or create accounts at scale.
• Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

PengiDream lets you record dreams in a private journal, receive AI-assisted symbolic analysis of those dreams, and contribute to a shared, anonymous Symbol Garden. The service is offered as-is and may evolve over time. We may add, modify, or remove features.

You agree not to:

• Use the service for anything illegal or that violates the rights of others.
• Submit content that is harassing, hateful, threatening, defamatory, or that depicts the sexual abuse or exploitation of minors.
• Attempt to identify, contact, or harass other users through the Symbol Garden.
• Scrape, mass-download, or otherwise extract content from the service except through tools we provide for your own data.
• Probe, attack, or attempt to disrupt the service, including by attempting to bypass rate limits or authentication.
• Use the service to train a competing AI model or to build a competing product.

PengiDream provides reflective, educational, and symbolic interpretations of dreams, drawn from established frameworks. It is not medical, psychological, psychiatric, or therapeutic advice and is not a substitute for care from a qualified professional.

AI-generated analyses can be incomplete, inaccurate, or misleading. Do not rely on them for diagnosis, treatment, life decisions, or in place of professional help.

If you are in crisis or experiencing thoughts of self-harm, please contact a local emergency service or a crisis line (in the US: dial or text 988). PengiDream cannot provide emergency support.

You retain ownership of the dreams, symbols, and other content you submit. You grant PengiDream a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, and display your content solely to operate the service for you — including sending the text of an individual dream to our AI sub-processor when you request an analysis.

We do not use your private dreams to train AI models or for any purpose beyond providing the service to you.

When you contribute a meaning to the Symbol Garden, you grant PengiDream and other users a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, share, and build upon that contribution within the platform. Because contributions are not linked to your account (see Privacy Policy §5), they cannot be retracted after submission.

Do not submit Symbol Garden content you would not want to be public and permanent.

PengiDream, the PengiDream name, logo, design system, and underlying software are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. These terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or to copy, modify, or reverse-engineer the service.

• You may delete your account at any time from your profile. Deletion begins a 30-day soft-delete window during which you can restore the account, after which data is permanently purged. See the Privacy Policy.
• We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially violate these terms or applicable law, or if continued operation would expose us or other users to harm. Where reasonable, we will give you notice and an opportunity to remedy.

PengiDream is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI analyses will be accurate, complete, or fit for any particular purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PengiDream and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of your use of the service. Our total cumulative liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the prior twelve months or USD $100.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits; in those places, the limits apply only to the extent permitted.

You agree to defend and indemnify PengiDream against claims arising from your content, your use of the service in violation of these terms, or your violation of another party’s rights.

These terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction], without regard to conflict of laws principles. You agree to bring any dispute exclusively in the courts of [jurisdiction], except where applicable consumer protection law gives you a different right.

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in-app and the “Last updated” date above will be revised. Continuing to use PengiDream after a change means you accept the revised terms.
